Paul’s Chains Advance the Gospel (1:12-18a): Paul’s imprisonment led to the furtherance of the gospel. His suffering was worth it.
To Live is Christ (1:18b-26): Paul reflects generally on life and death, emphasizing that living as a Christian is all about and should be about Christ. To die is gain because we get to be with Jesus in person.
Worthy of the Gospel (1:27-30): Paul's encouragement is to live a life worthy of the Gospel, standing firm in one faith, united together as the church.
