Welcome to the Sherwood Community Friends Church Community Garden. Our goal is to give an opportunity to those in our community who do not have the ground area and means of gardening, a chance to have fresh produce, grow in the community, and learn new skills.
The Garden area is located on the upper east area of the Church campus and is comprised of two distinct planting areas.
Spring Boxes: An extended garden opportunity for those who want to get a jump on the season. Spring Boxes have a small fee that is assessed each year to cover the cost of upkeep and maintenance.
Garden Plots: Once the ground is tillable, usually in late April or May, gardeners will be given the go ahead to plant out their 5×20 plot for the season. No Fee for plots — Free!
