Message: “Intimacy – Beyond Strong Friendships” from Rich Miller

Big Idea: Removing the seeds of murder… how to deal with the sword. Today we are going to take a look at the 6th Commandment... “Do not commit murder.” Of the 10 Commandments, this is probably the most universally accepted. Pretty much everybody agrees that “Do not commit murder” ought to be on anybody’s “Top Ten List” of things you shouldn’t do. But have you ever wondered WHY murder is wrong? The reason is found in the very core of creation. “So God created man in his own image, in the image of God he created him; male and female he created them” (Gen. 1:27). Every human being ever conceived was stamped with the image of God.

Scripture References: Exodus 20:13

From Series: "The Law of Perfect Freedom (a sermon series on the Ten Commandments)"

James, the brother of our Lord, urges his readers to "look closely into the perfect law that sets people free." That "perfect law" is, of course, God's Law, also known as the Ten Commandments.
