Portrait of a Friend

How many of you want to live a long & healthy life? How many of you would like to have a positive INFLUENCE on the lives of those around you? How many of you want to be the ‘best friend’ that you could possibly be? This sermon looks at how friendship is defined throughout the Bible. We will consider everything from the healthy benefits of friendship and how friendship can positively impact—even change—our lives. In “Portrait of a Friend” we take a look at one of David’s true friends, Hushai, and discover some key things about what true friends do and who they are: he bore David’s burdens, he served David sacrificially, and he gave gifts (much needed gifts) to David, his true friend.
